As you might have guessed, this is my portfolio site.
I'm Laszlo, an ACD/copywriter from Budapest, Hungary. After living in Hamburg and Stockholm, I've landed in New York, where I've been living for the past 8 years.
I started my career at BBDO NY, as part of the GE team. While there, I also worked on Monster.com, sold a global platform Pedigree, and helped to retain the Starbucks business. After 3 years at BBDO, I joined FCB New York to work on the FDA’s Real Cost campaign to curb teenage tobacco use. While at FCB, I also helped to land clients like LG and Burger King and developed creative concepts that landed FCB on the AdAge Creativity A-list for the first time in 20 years.
Some of these ideas also helped me be named the #3 writer globally at the 2019 One Show Awards and to be included in the “100 Most Fascinating People in Marketing, Media and Culture” in 2019 by Adweek.
When I’m allowed outside the office, I like getting nerdy about joke-writing and comedy, spending too much money on hard-to-find 70’s disco records and then playing them at a club, watching how good Messi is at soccer (turns out, pretty good) and writing sentences that are way too long.
